Observe the running status
Start the sanding belt machine and observe whether the sanding belt runs smoothly in idling state, and whether there is any obvious jumping, deviation or shaking.
Check vibration
Place your hand on the belt sander housing or workbench to feel the amplitude and frequency of vibrations generated by the machine when it is running. The smaller the vibration, the better the stability.
Measuring noise level
Use a noise measuring instrument to detect the noise level of the belt sander during operation. Low and uniform noise usually means that the machine is running smoothly.
Conducting load testing
Install a suitable abrasive belt and perform actual grinding on the workpiece. Observe whether the speed of the belt sander is stable under load and whether there is any abnormal sound or increased vibration.
Check the tightness of components
Before and after operation, check the tightness of various parts of the belt sander, such as screws, nuts, belts, etc., to ensure that there is no looseness.
Long-running tests
Allow the belt sander to run continuously for a period of time to see if its performance degrades over time, such as excessive heating or increased vibration.
Comparing different speeds
Adjust the speed of the belt sander and check the stability of the machine at different speeds.
