The water tank wire drawing machine is mainly cooled by the following methods:
Coolant circulation in the water tank
The core cooling part of the water tank wire drawing machine is the water tank, which is filled with coolant. During the wire drawing process, the wire will generate a lot of heat due to friction after passing through the die. At this time, the wire will be directly immersed in the coolant in the water tank. The coolant is in full contact with the heated wire and takes away the heat of the wire through heat conduction. At the same time, a circulation system is set in the water tank to allow the coolant to flow continuously. For example, a water pump is used to form a specific circulation path in the water tank to ensure that the coolant temperature is evenly distributed, avoid local overheating, and continuously provide a stable low-temperature environment for wire cooling.
Cooling duct auxiliary
In addition to the coolant in the water tank, some water tank wire drawing machines are also equipped with cooling pipes. These cooling pipes are usually arranged in key parts related to wire drawing, such as near the die seat. The coolant flows in the pipes, further absorbing the heat conducted from the die and other parts during the wire drawing process. Because the die will also generate heat due to friction during wire drawing, if the temperature of the die is too high, it will not only affect its service life, but may also cause the quality of the wire to deteriorate. The cooling pipe can effectively reduce the temperature of the die and ensure the normal wire drawing.
The role of heat exchangers
In some advanced water tank wire drawing machine systems, a heat exchanger is installed. The heat exchanger is connected to the coolant circulation system of the water tank. When the coolant absorbs heat and the temperature rises, it will flow into the heat exchanger. In the heat exchanger, the coolant exchanges heat with the external cooling medium (such as air or cold water). After the temperature of the coolant decreases, it flows back to the water tank to continue the cooling process. This method can effectively control the temperature of the coolant, so that it is always kept within the appropriate cooling range, so as to continuously and stably play a cooling role, ensuring that the wire and equipment can be in a good temperature state during the long-term wire drawing operation of the water tank wire drawing machine, thereby improving the wire drawing quality and the stability of the equipment.
