How to process complex shaped workpieces with non-acid cleaning and rust removal machines

The non-acid pickling rust removal machine can process complex-shaped workpieces mainly in the following ways:

1. Combination of multiple mechanical rust removal methods

Shot blasting for rust removal: For workpieces with complex inner cavities, holes or depressions, small shot blasting equipment can be used with projectiles of different particle sizes. The projectiles can enter the internal space of complex shapes through the injection device, and hit the rust layer to make it fall off. For example, for workpieces with complex internal pipe structures, compressed air can be used to transport the projectiles along the pipes to clean the rust on the inner wall of the pipes. At the same time, for the external surface of the workpiece, the angle and injection force of the shot blasting equipment can be adjusted to make the projectiles evenly cover the curved surface, edges and corners of the workpiece, effectively removing the rust layer.

Grinding and rust removal: For local narrow areas or delicate parts of complex-shaped workpieces, use small grinding tools. For example, electric grinders equipped with grinding heads of different shapes (spherical, conical, etc.) can penetrate into the grooves and gaps of the workpiece. By precisely controlling the speed and pressure of the grinding head, rust can be removed without damaging the workpiece substrate. For curved surfaces, a curved grinding head that matches the curvature can be used for grinding to ensure the rust removal effect while protecting the shape of the workpiece.

2. Use chemical assistance and physical methods in synergy

Local application of chemical rust remover: For some complex parts that are difficult to completely remove rust by physical methods, targeted environmentally friendly chemical rust removers can be used. These rust removers can be applied to specific areas by smearing, spraying, etc. After using chemical rust removers, physical methods such as light wiping and flushing can be combined to accelerate the removal of the rust layer. For example, for metal crafts with complex carved patterns, first use a soft brush to apply the rust remover to the rust in the pattern, and then rinse with clean water or wipe it clean with a soft cloth after the rust is loosened.

Optimization of electrochemical rust removal: For workpieces with complex shapes, special electrode shapes and arrangements can be designed. By properly arranging the electrodes, the current can be evenly distributed in all parts of the workpiece, including complex curved surfaces, interiors, and recesses. For example, when processing cast workpieces with complex shapes, multiple auxiliary electrodes can be placed at different positions on the workpiece to ensure that all rusted parts of the workpiece can be effectively treated during the electrochemical rust removal process, while avoiding local over-rusting or dead corners.

3. Advanced automatic control and monitoring

Intelligent control: Use advanced automation technology to precisely control the rust removal process. Adjust the operating parameters of the rust removal equipment according to the three-dimensional model of the complex-shaped workpiece or the pre-set program. For example, when blasting rust removal, the control system automatically adjusts the angle, speed and shot flow rate of the blasting according to the shape of the workpiece to ensure that different parts can get the appropriate rust removal intensity.

Real-time monitoring: The rust removal effect can be monitored in real time through sensors installed on the equipment. For various parts of complex-shaped workpieces, sensors can detect parameters such as the degree of rust removal and the flatness of the workpiece surface. Once it is found that the rust removal in a certain area does not meet the standard, the system can automatically adjust the rust removal strategy, such as increasing the local rust removal time, adjusting the rust removal method, etc., to ensure the rust removal quality of the entire workpiece.
